Terms of Service

The ground rules for using this website, the free score, and the client portal, and how paid work is agreed.

Effective date: November 6, 2026

1. Agreement

These terms apply when you use localrankauthority.com, the free Local Visibility Score, or the client portal run by Local Rank Authority ("we," "us"). By using them, you agree to these terms. If you're using them for a business, you confirm you're allowed to accept these terms for it.

2. The free Local Visibility Score

  • It's an automated snapshot of public information: page speed, SEO basics, a sample of search rankings, and AI answers at the moment it runs. Results change over time and vary by location and device.
  • It's for information only. It's not a guarantee of any outcome, and it isn't a complete review of your business.
  • Only score websites you own, manage, or are evaluating for a legitimate business reason. Don't use it to overload or test someone else's site.
  • We may limit how often it can be used.

3. Paid services

The Comprehensive Growth Audit, setup packages, and monthly plans are described on our website. The exact scope, price, timeline, and payment terms for paid work are set in a written proposal or order you approve. If that document conflicts with these terms, that document wins.

  • Audit credit: when offered, the audit fee is credited toward a package started within the period stated in your proposal.
  • Third-party costs such as ad spend, call tracking, phone and texting fees, software subscriptions, and directory fees are paid by you unless your proposal says otherwise.
  • Discount codes are single-use unless stated, have no cash value, and may expire.
  • Refunds and cancellations follow your proposal.

4. No guarantees

Search engines and AI assistants decide their own rankings and answers, and they change often. We use proven methods and report results honestly, but we can't guarantee specific rankings, traffic, leads, sales, or AI recommendations. Estimates in our reports are estimates, not promises.

5. Your responsibilities

  • Give us accurate information, and the access we need to do the work.
  • Make sure the content, photos, logos, and claims you give us are yours to use and are truthful.
  • Review and approve work before it goes live where your proposal asks you to.
  • Keep your own accounts secure. Give us read-only or delegated access rather than passwords where possible.

6. Ownership

  • Once paid in full, you own your website content, the copy we write for you, and your report.
  • Your domain, your Google Business Profile, and your accounts stay in your name.
  • We keep ownership of our own tools, templates, methods, and internal research. Rank-and-rent lead sites are owned by us, as described in those agreements.
  • We may describe our work for you in general terms. We'll only use your name, logo, results, or a testimonial with your permission.

7. The client portal

Portal access is for you and the people you choose to share it with. Sign-in links are personal and expire. We may suspend access that's being misused.

8. Acceptable use

Don't use this site to break the law, send spam, upload harmful code, scrape it in bulk, try to get into accounts or data that aren't yours, or interfere with how it runs.

9. Third-party services

Our work relies on platforms like Google, Bing, AI assistants, directories, and social networks. We aren't responsible for their decisions, outages, policy changes, or suspensions, though we'll help you respond to them.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits or lost data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the service involved in the 3 months before the claim. The free score is provided "as is."

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts serving Albany County, New York, unless your proposal says otherwise. We'd always rather resolve a problem by talking first.

12. Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. Changes don't affect a signed proposal that's already in place.
